Understand the completed work
Read the mechanic's completion details alongside the accepted quote. Check what was done, how it relates to your original concern, and whether anything remains outside the agreed work.
Ask about an unclear detail while the job is fresh. Keep warranty terms, invoices, and follow-up recommendations with your service documents, so you can find them if a question comes up later.
Raise a concern promptly
Check the job's payment information, support notices, and any displayed deadline. Repair completion, payment, and dispute review describe different parts of a job.
If something is wrong, explain the difference between the agreed work and the result. Include relevant photos or messages through the support or dispute options provided. A precise account gives the person reviewing the issue something concrete to investigate.
Write for the next owner
When eligible, review your own experience. Describe whether the work was explained, how changes were handled, and whether the handoff was clear. A detail such as receiving an explanation when the estimate changed tells another owner more than a broad label like good or bad.
Be fair about what you know. Separate an observation from a suspicion, and leave out private contact details, exact addresses, and unrelated personal information.
Keep the useful history
Your request, accepted quote, conversation, and job updates can help you explain previous work at a later visit. Keep the distinction between a completed repair and a recommendation you deferred.
Save documents you receive separately too. The FixMyWhip record covers work arranged through the platform; your vehicle's wider history may include other shops, invoices, and maintenance records.
